In an effort to find some sort of activity Charlotte will do and that has a workable schedule, I'm considering signing the girls up for the Hodag Lanes Junior bowling leagues. They would bowl Saturday mornings at 9 a.m.

They are having free bowling / pizza / soda Saturday the 12th and Saturday the 19th at 11 a.m. to evaluate the kids' skill levels. They said the youngest bowlers are age 3!!! and they have bumper bowling leagues.

Anyone else interested? We won't be here for the 12th, but I'm planning to take them on the 19th.

Do you know any of the costs for leagues? My kids LOVE bowling, and our neighbors were in a fun kids league many years ago and all loved it.

We also got a flyer for the free bowling Sat and all my kids wanted to go. I had tried to hide it, but one of my readers saw it and told the rest.....

I'm not sure what the cost is - but I'm sure it's no worse than any of the classes at the Y, or gymnastics, or little league or any of that. Maybe MOPS could sponsor them. It would be fun if Joe was in it with Charlotte!

Joe is a serious bowler.
He practices as he's waiting over and over again. Drops his hand the right way, practices releasing it at the right spot, has the right follow-through....

So it's his turn.
He takes the ball, and asks if he's holding it right. Brings it to the right spot,
carefully
carefully.....walks and counts the steps
puts his hand out
ever so slightly
very
very
careful.........


Then drops it like a rock from three feet in the air.
